Hum Loops Time and again, hum loops occur when units are connected together. It is typical of these hum loops to occur only, when certain units are additionally connected or the units are installed together into a rack. The units are then interconnected both by their housing parts and the connection cables. In order to avoid this, each housing would have to be insulated against each other. In most cases, this is only feasible with great difficulty.
An isolating transformer FGA-40HQ or FGA-40 can assist in this case. It is connected in front of the input and separates the two units from each other.
